Dr. Tran Viet Hung (born in 1980) is the founder and leader of GotIt!. From Tutor Universe to GotIt!
Tutor Universe, Tran Viet Hung’s first company, was founded in mid-2011 when he was still a research student. Despite receiving positive feedback from the student community and universities, Tutor Universe had yet to fully exploit its potential on the smartphone platform. This prompted Hung and his team to change their strategy, and in October 2013, they officially focused on building the educational application GotIt!. GotIt! is a knowledge exchange platform that helps users ask questions and receive quick responses from experts around the world. After 4 years of operation, GotIt! focuses strongly on subjects such as mathematics, physics and chemistry.
Dr. Tran Viet Hung shared that the secret to GotIt!’s success is its ability to provide online education solutions. lies in the perfect combination of people and technology. When users ask questions, the GotIt! system processes and selects the appropriate expert within 10 seconds. The expert will have 10 minutes to answer the question, helping learners gain a deeper understanding of their exercises.
Global expert network
GotIt! currently has a network of about 40,000 experts from many countries such as the Philippines, India, South Africa, Eastern Europe and the United States. GotIt! experts must pass exams on knowledge, interaction skills and English ability before being allowed to join the system. On average, each expert earns from 3.5 – 4 USD/hour, and many people achieve an income of about 500 USD/month. In Vietnam, there are about 150 experts participating, especially outstanding in the field of mathematics.
Initial difficulties and challenges
